So Yahoo is back in the game buy buying up tumbler for a cool 1.1 billion dollars putting Yahoo back up with Google and Facebook, but why is this? Why pay out that sort of money for this blogging system? Tumbler began back in 2006 and released to the average jo in 2007, and the idea behind this was simple, to build a system to provide tumbling blogs to the world, in a way this is more of a glorified Twitter account then anything els, but much easier and user-friendly. In the short term this is going to give Yahoo some credibility and put it back in the frame, in the long term, it's about the money (obviously) and I'm sure you will be seeing some advertisements popping up around the Tumbler.
